Update on Homestyle Christmas Carols at the Powell’s

homestyle-christmas-carolsWow! What a great time we had! This year’s Homestyle Christmas Carols at the Powell’s was the largest turnout we’ve ever had, and even though the rain didn’t happen, we believe our decision to move to the Boksburg Wesleyan Church was a good thing.

Aside from the great company, entertainment and singing of our favourite Christmas Carols, we have to say the highlight was the brimming donations box which everyone willingly contributed to. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to hand over a whopping R2,530.00 to the Ithemba Rape and Trauma Centre, Benoni at the end of the evening. This alone made the evening all worthwhile! What a blessing – your generous donations were way beyond our wildest expectations. Thank you!

On the note of Thank You’s – we have a few:

Firstly a big thanks to Shaun and Gail Botha for opening the Wesleyan Church to us. Thanks to everybody who was involved in the organising, and thank you to all the guest artists and young folk who did the readings… And to everybody who came and supported us and generously donated – we are very grateful!

Hope to see you at next year’s Homestyle Christmas Carols at the Powell’s!

Have a blessed Christmas.
